What’s up, everyone? I guess it’s approximately more than a month since I started playing Splinterlands. I know I started the journey very late and I somehow feel bad because now I am enjoying it quite well. I just feel it would be better if I had many more cards and had started to play the game earlier because I joined the Hive platform more than 5 years ago. I should blame my laziness for it, but it’s good to be late rather than never.

I regularly play Frontier battles as it allows me to get cards as rewards. But in Modern battles, I don’t usually get cards as rewards, as my SPS stake is very little (around 2.5k only). Besides, I used to feel that winning in Modern battles is quite difficult compared to the Frontier battles. But at the same time, I can use almost all of my cards in the Modern battles unless there are restrictions. But the opponents are quite powerful. I won’t lie; I mostly do Modern battles when I run out of energy points in Frontier battles😅. Winning battles in Modern mode is not so easy, but still I can beat the opponents with a good strategy even if the opponent is at a higher level. So, today I am going to share 3 battles where I made it happen. Let’s start.

I the first battle, the mana cap was 61, and the ruleset was standard. I used the death element and Spellmonger was at the 1st position even if it has low health. But it becomes useless when it’s against magic as single magic attack is enough to destroy it and it doesn’t have the ability to attack. So, in the 3rd place I used New Beluroc Aegis to draw all the attack. In the second position I placed the Nim Guard Captain which is very good against magic attacks. In the 4th position Vengeful Monk is placed as it’s good for attacking the opponent with least health. Playing battles without Sorrow Harvester while using death rarely happens at least for me. And in the last position Lenore Nevermore was used for ranged attack, but it has snipe ability which was good. Obviously, I won the battle. The opponent came with powerful units and for beginning time I doubted if I would win the battle or not. Here is the battle link.

In the second battle, I again used the death element changed units. Mana cap was 57 and ruleset was “Healed Out: Units and archons lose all the abilities that restore health” This time I changed my strategy a little. I exchanged the Nim Guard Captain and Spellmonge’s position, and I replaced the position of New Beluroc Aegis with Little Sister for having the ability to increase health. I removed the Vengeful Monk and placed the Black Widow for having 2 ranged attack ability. In the 6th position the card was the same as the first battle. Here is the battle link.

In the third battle, the ruleset was standard, but mana cap was 44. I thought to use earth element this time. In the first position, I used the Spellmonger again. I would not use it in that position if mana cap were higher. In the second position Dread Tafarian which is expected while using earth element. In the 3rd position Glimmermancer were used for having 3 magic attack power and in the 4th position Khan Feywest seems to be fit as it has 3 magic power that attack target non melee enemy unit behind the first position. Besides the speed of it is 3. In the fifth position I used Stonebind Matron for the first time having the ability of 2 magic attack power. I placed it in the last position because of its 4 speeds in case opponent attacks the last unit, so that it can increase possibility to escape. The result was expected and it’s the victory. Here is the battle link.
