I wrote this for BCP Prompt - Spirituality that is a weekly prompt to get the creative juices flowing.
Although it is a bit late.. finding the time to sit and think about such matters is not an easy thing as I plug away at the endless days of homeschooling, and taking care of a teenager. The tasks can be quite the handful! Three more years and I am a free man! 😵
But we do what we must to get the job done.. as these days won't last forever.
Or will they? Do we experience recursive lives forever? Leaping from loop to loop for infinity? It would drive one mad if they had to learn that is our ultimate reality.
Thoughts to ponder.. hence the reason you are here. 😂
So let's get it goin on shall we?
We have been here before you and I
Many times have I penned this line
Infinite timelines so cast is the die
Perpetual years twisted on the vine
What is the reason for our forever season?
Are we to learn some lessons on the curve?
Round and round we go embracing unreason
Miserable eternal demise surely plucks nerve
Living life after life can be quite maddening
Bracing for another trip through the turnstile
No chance for reprieve it's honestly saddening
I applaud the Gods for their inexorable guile
Touching the repeating patterns set in stone
Souls tire of endless loops never going home
Time after time incinerates the sinew and bone
Post trauma disorders chasing another syndrome
Another end is getting closer by the day
I have to change the view of this deja vu
Gotta snag a ticket out of this gutter ballet
Change the man and adjust meaning of hu
