Yesterday when I made a post on POB Richlist, it was a normal Monday post for me. But it received a good amount of engagement due to the VYB related questions.
After reading the comments from @trostparadox on my post, I felt interested in buying as there is an arbitrage opportunity if you have enough #pob. You need at least 250 POB to get VYB at the current prices. But then I thought of understanding the buying pattern.
The image above is quite self-explanatory.
@frot controls 112469 tokens which are more than 11% of the total supply of the VYB tokens that are currently pegged at 996717.
@trostparadox and
@trostparadox.pob controls 69920 tokens.
- Surprisingly the community account of
@proofofbrainio also have 16800 tokens. This indirectly means that
@proofofbrainio is also supporting this new project.
Some More Statistics
There is a total of 36 accounts at the time of writing this post. Out of these 36 accounts as many as 11 accounts are those accounts that are reserved for exchanging the #vyb tokens for #pob.
- These accounts are named in a fashion which indicates the possible exchange rates.
- There are two accounts that have zero balance.
@x-1pob-4vyb and
@x-1pob-3vyb. This also indicates that the rates have increased above the same and as
@trostparadox mentioned in one of his comments on my post the current rate is 1:2 hence the balance is zero in these two accounts.
- There is one account which is
@x-23pob-1vyb meaning that the creators behind the #vyb token are expecting the rates of VYB tokens to go to 23 POB. Quite ambitious plans.
Now lets crunch some numbers
@trostparadox the account behind this new community has mentioned in his comment on my post that the tokens you will receive in an airdrop are mentioned in the link that explains a lot of things.
However, one thing that needs more transparency according to me is the distribution of the initial tokens at a 1:4 ratio.
Numbers speak - but what ?
There were 150000 #vyb tokens marked to be exchanged for #pob and as of 30th November the #vyb balance in this account is zero but there are close to 92000 #pob.
- Does it mean there were 92000 #pob sent out by the pob holders to purchase the #vyb at the rate of 1 POB for 4 VYB? This means this account was not allocated 150000 VYB but 368000 VYB (92000*4).
- However, there is another possibility that the distribution has happened through the only one account of VYB and that is
@x-1pob-4vyb for exchange rates 1:4 and 1:3. Still, the balance of 92000 POB looks very high.
- There is a balance of 19730 POB in the account of
@x-1pob-2vyb. This means the balance on the two accounts is 92000+19730 = 111730 POB collected against {150000+99999+100000-20825 (balance in
@x-1pob-2vyb)} = 329174 VYB.
- According the screenshot above 150000 VYB= 37500 POB and assuming the 1:3 exchange has happened through the same account means 99999 VYB = 33333 POB. After that the exchanges are happening through the
@x-1pob-2vyb account. So, the account should have received only 70833.
- If this is true then it is not clear why these additional #pob are introduced in this account ? Not sure what does this mean, additional #pob in the distribution accounts doesn't really mean anything wrong but this makes the maths difficult.
It is important to understand the answers to these questions as well to improve transparency. These were probably the lowest priced tokens.

This list gives a fair picture of who owns what in the #vyb. Just made some number crunching, if there is anything to be improved, please feel free to write me back. I would be happy to update if anything is wrong.
Disclaimer: This position is captured before my application. I hold #vyb
