Well there are knitted weight blankets that seem to be 100% knitted whatever-it-is and no way to clean the exterior or get the cover off if the user has Issues(tm). I had to make it clear that "fluffy" and "weighted blanket" need to be mutually exclusive in case someone went looking for one.

Just looking at pictures of them, I decided they were high on my Sketchy-ometer and didn't spend my money on one, so further investigation was not an option for me. Eagerly ready to be wrong about that.

As for Gorx - it's a pretty common name in the Alliance. Various languages can come up with it as a name and one syllable names or nicknames are preferred by Spacers in high-risk situations [See The Sharing Knife for Louis McMaster Bujold's argument concerning, "Dag! Duck!"]. Anyway, there's a lot of Gorxes rattling around.

And Companions usually come about because one creature was rescued by a Human and decided to pay in forward. After that, it's only a matter of time until there's like a Nurse Joy situation going on.
