I have the same issues with Praised Foods versus my tastebuds. I hear so much about the thing, but inevitably get disappointed when I get to try it.

Worst offender? Red velvet cake. It's just a regular sponge cake and food colouring. The cream cheese frosting could go on anything. It's not a delicacy to my mind.

IMHO the cream cheese frosting would go SUPER well with Madeira or Lemon Poppy cake. Why bother with a bland old sponge? [/rant]
