Hello, Hivers! Rej here and I'm gonna take you this time to our province in Argao, Cebu, Philippines. In some of my blog posts here, I am always excited to share with you my experiences every time I am home in Argao. Come spend my free time with me in our incredible hometown.
As the daughter of fisher folks, we do have a small fish business in our town. I usually help my mother in selling some fresh catch and sometimes, I would accompany my father in his activities as a fisherman. This time, I went with him at the open ocean to install some fish aggregating devices or fish attracting devices. Let me share to you more about this.
Fish aggregating devices or fish attracting devices are floating objects that are designed and strategically placed in the open ocean to attract fishes. Man-made fish attracting devices are usually constructed from variety of materials like coconut leaves, ropes, styrofoams and etc. This would serve as the home of the fishes in the ocean and a great help for the fishermen to catch some fishes in each area.
I truly had a great time here and I was able to learn new things as well. Even if I am living in Argao for years now, I am still in awe everytime I see this beautiful landscape right here with the fantastic view of the ocean. It was indeed a well spent weekend at home.
