The Comfort Of The Spiky Nest
Behind the spiky leaves
Believes a nesting bird
Heard a good thought
Brought by a little spider
A web to the bird could be knit
A lit intact roof to sit under
As thunder and rain
Again poured down relentlessly
Endlessly watering
Everything
The annoyed grumpy
Stumpy feathered friend
Can not comprehend the dancing
Prancing stork on the water
Laughter sharper than the spikes
Strikes to the birds tiny brain
Pain when thinking the foolish dancer
"Romancer! What a bother!
Father of nine
A fine set of small ones
Sons, daughters and a spouse
House with a solid roof
Waterproof shelter for a fancy
Yancey skipping in the shower
Flower in it's beak
Freak dancing in the rain
Insane!"
In the comforting spiky nest
Stressed bird spent it's time thinking
Drinking, sulking and hating
Waiting for the spider's art
Smart nest and rainy weather cover
To hover above her and her lover
