In my investing, I prefer a kinda bottle spinning method since rock-paper-scissors with myself is pretty hard without knowing the end result. Or if I don't think about it, my left hand wants to do the same thing as my right and it's always a tie.
With failing, I have to say that that has never been that big of an issue with me. I do what I do if I feel like it and do not punish myself if the end result isn't perfect or quite the opposite, is a total failure. At that point my thought process goes: "Well, the making of this was pure art and art is what it is so in that sense this was a success."
But of course I obviously have managed to keep myself alive and not loose all my money so the failing though has sometimes crossed my mind.
I once heard somewhere, was it the TV-show shark tank or lions den or dragon something, whichever of those is the American version that an entrepreneur in the U.S. is not considered a proper entrepreneur if they have not gone through at least one bankrupt. Well I don't know about that because there's trying and then there's "trying". You know, it's a different thing to take calculated risk than just to take risks. Like a some sort of serial risker. Outcome may be the same and both risk takers may be entrepreneurs but one of them is bound to fail at some point. Just like my bottle spinning method. The only difference is that I only do that with assets I can afford to loose and very rarely use that method in situations where it really matters.
Oh gosh, did not mean to write this long, did I even write about the same subject as you? Don't know. I was distracted about the fact that you didn't name the flower / plant you photographed.
