Thanks. My plan is to force myself to paint people so that I might perhaps become better at it.
The idea at first was "stairs" from the inktober prompt list. And I did start to draw only stairs first but then thought that it needed something else too. So then I thought that the stairs could also be mental stairs. Something that some people want to achieve in their life but sometimes that thing, wanting more, going further, going up just one more step, may be too much, it may become an obsession. But if you only think that you just have to climb one more step then what toll does that take? So perhaps that woman is climbing the stairs because she is fixated in going forward and doesn't even notice that she is really thin, has lost her hand and is bleeding. And of course if the stairs are a mental thing, just something to achieve, the stairs are never-ending. There's always one more step and you can never get to the top. So perhaps it's about always wanting more, more and more and it becomes an obsession.
