There is a similar problem in English I think.
So there is! English is too familiar language for me so I didn't think about the pronunciation enough. And what a fun video to prove the point.
we have more sounds than letters.
You have to start using different ¨^`´/\ and other marks on top of those letters where the pronunciation is different and make your friends and relatives do the same, then perhaps after about 50 years or something those letters are accepted as official alphabet. Wouldn't that be a nice way to get ones name to history books! "Fermentedphil: Invented 20 more alphabet to Afrikaans."
