I found a perfect excuse to publish old and crappy photos that I hopefully have not yet published here because I was busy doing something else. Digging fluff from my bellybutton or some other critically important task.
First I will show you photos of today, taken out there, in the city. Then one, two, three and so on years ago that are from the same day, 4th of February or as close as possible before or after depending on if I have any winter photos taken out there.
You may criticize my photography skills, have I become better or have my abilities taken a turn for the worse. In your mind, alone, or just blurt it out, write it in to the comment section and click publish before you have time to think about what you wrote too much. I promise I will not get angry. Or mad. Maybe. :D
But as the photos that I chose from previous years might not be the best photos of the year or even that month because there must have been a reason I didn't publish them right there and then I became a Steemian in 2018 and the photos are taken with different cameras and a smartphone, it might be difficult and futile to try to determine if I have improved. Actually, I think not all of the old photos are that bad. Perhaps I've just though that I can't post nice wintery photos on their own from 2017 now, because that would be kinda cheating. At least not without a proper explanation. That's why I needed to take crappy photos today so that I could post old, slightly better photos from the past.
But what you can see from the pictures is that normally there should be much more snow on the ground today. Here in Tampere, Finland. I can only hope this winter is not a preview of the future winters to come.
Let's start from today and go all the way back to 2016. Today was a beautiful day. Sun was shining, some snow finally on the ground and a nice -6°C temperature. So out I went.
