This movie really did show us the underbelly of wealth. And I can personally attest that they were 100% authentic in any scene at Belfort's company where they were trying to get clients to invest. The tone, the attitude, the theatrics are all real. I had friends with this lifestyle. It is dramatic, unstable, exciting and destructive if you lose yourself to it. But at the same time you might buy yourself a house, car, boat, wife etc.
