Psalm 23 is one of the most popular chapters in the Bible. It is assurance of God's care for us together with his protection and guidance. The guidance of God comes together with his blessings as we are all expectant of the wealthy place is promised us in heaven. A place that flows with milk and honey, a land rich in abundance and peaceful. God wants the very best for his children. Psalm 23 speaks alot about responsibility, provision and protection.During the days of King David, tending for sheeps is one of the most important tasks in the family because their are very important assets. Sheeps are regarded as one of the dumbest animals and can easily go astray and they needs a dedicated Shepard to watch over them. We are the sheeps and God is our shepherd.
As Christians, we are supposed to enjoy a smooth and stress-free life because God in Jeremiah 29:11, we see God's intention for our life.
"For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome."
God has made so many promises to us and our coming generations concerning our welfare but it requires a good lifestyle to inherit all this promises of God. God sent His Spirit to guide us and to bear witness with our own spirit. God's Spirit is our guidance and we should not blaspheme against it as God speaks to us through our spirits which is supposed to be in sync with the Holy Spirit.
