How well do we love God? Let us take a moment and think about the question. How possible is it for someone to love someone he cannot see, someone powerful and so exalted? It's fascinating because we believe in his existence by faith. According to a classical hymn, it describes God as
“immortal, invisible, God only wise, in light inaccessible hid from our eyes.”
The beauty of it all is that God loves us and he wants us to love him also.
It is quite easy to show "fake" love to someone outwardly but it is not easy to pretend to love inwardly and that is one of the reasons why we all want true love.
**Romans12:9:
“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good”
How well do you love God?
Proclaiming you love God just by word of mouth is not a true representation of your love to God. For you to really show your love towards is by our actions. Precisely, we are supposed to love our brethren and everyone around us because love for God that we cannot see will only find meaning when we love people that we can see.
1John 4:20:
someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?
1John 5:1
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too.
Also, another way we can prove our love to God is by obeying his commandments with grudge.1John 5:3
Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome.
The sincerity of our love towards God is show in obedience to His words and genuine love to our brothers and sisters
