Today happened to be the Easter friday and Christians all over the world commemorate Christ's Dead through crucifixion. Crucifixion is an execution by being nailed or tied to an upright cross and left to hang there until dead. But one of the striking question is "Do Christ worth this kind of dead?" If no, what then is the significant of his dead to me, you and mankind. An Easter Friday which many called Good Friday was the very the Jewish religious leaders condemned Christ to dead and after a night he proclaimed to be the son of God and king of the Jews before he was brought him to Romans for sentence.
Matthew 28:33-37 They brought Jesus to Golgotha, which means “Skull Hill.” And there the soldiers offered him a mild painkiller, a drink of wine mixed with gall, but after tasting it, he refused to drink it. Then they crucified Jesus, nailing his hands and feet to the cross. The soldiers divided his clothing among themselves by rolling dice to see who would win them. And the soldiers stood there to watch what would happen and to keep guard over him. Above his head they placed a sign that read, “This is Jesus of Nazareth, King of Israel.”
###What are the significant of Christ's crucifixion
*Restoration of relationship with God: The essence of man creation was to enjoy divine relationship with the God. *Genesis 3:8: Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
He served as an open gate to God:
John 10:9 I am the Gateway. To enter through me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction.* Certainly, it became very accessible to get to God unless before whereby one must pass through the priest to make offer unto God.
*Access to the great throne of grace: The grace of God was made manifest in Christ's crucifixion. Hebrews 4:16 So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.
*Access to the secret place of treasure: The death of Christ is the exposure of kingdoms secret place of treasure, this is through the giving of the holy spirit which gave as the result of his crucifixion. **Isaiah 45:3: I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
John 16:13 But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you. He won’t speak his own message, but only what he hears from the Father, and he will reveal prophetically to you what is to come.
Man in his efforts could not access these great mystery of God's dimensions except through Christ. Having Christ is a fulfill life on earth.
