Good day everyone! Welcome to the Be Entrepreneur community, this is another to share some insight on the above topic. I’ll try to reveal the pathetic condition of the sons and daughters of destiny, who lavishly share kingdom opportunities and privileges with dogs (sinners outside the kingdom), thinking that they could survive outside the Father’s control. The bible calls them “backsliders”
One may ask, “Why do some sons and daughters of the rich abandon the treasures and securities of their parent’s homes to join with harlots and beggars, sleep in jungles, gutters and market squares?”. Honestly, this is beyond imagination!
I will like to receive your insight and I will be here to attend to any question that may arise. Let us consider scripturally some spiritual steps the Biblical prodigal son took, that made him lose and later regain his destiny SELF-WILL. And the younger of them said to [his] father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth [to me]. And he divided unto them [his] living. Luke 15:12 (KJV)
This son in question felt cheated staying in his father’s kingdom with senior brother while enjoying the father’s blessing. He thought within himself and demanded that his portion of goods be given. That was self-will; this landed him in a very disadvantageous situation. Jesus said “My meat is to do the will of the father….” The prodigal son’s meat on the other side was to pack out of his father’s house and squander his wealth outside.
And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. Luke 15:13(KJV). Today many preachers and disciple of Christ have become selfish, separated and sensual in their ways of life, thereby allowing the devil to come in to steal, kill and destroy their destinies. It is my sincere prayer today that you receive the power to stop all enemies of your destiny. The above mentioned sins finally led the prodigal son into a deeper sin and more pitiable condition. That brings us to the third point!
And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. Luke 15:14(KJV). This son did not know that anything not tapped daily from the source must dry up. He ran into destitution because of being cut off from the source of supply. Ponder and learn your lesson here, that once you run away or are cut off from the source both spiritual or physical supply In your life, you are bound to become a destitute. Be warned and rekindled your link with your only spiritual source(God), before you are completely disconnected. Above spiritual condition caused the prodigal son to sink deeper into the valley of dryness of his soul!
SELF DEBASEMENT
And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. Luke 15:15(KJV). He moved from his home where there was abundance of both spiritual and physical supplies, to eating and feeding of swine! That was demotion of oneself. A clear picture of grace to grass! In his family, he was feeding from golden spoon and plates, whereas outside his home, he fed from cans meant for pigs! A very tragic situation.
SWINE
The Law of Moses forbade the Jews eating or having anything to do with the swine:
And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he [is] unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they [are] unclean to you. Leviticus 11:7-8(KJV)
Note that certain men and women, money business, food, drinks, churches and jobs are like swine to your life which you should not touch because you are made holy. It is self debasement to go near them. Consider your original position in Christ, keep been the head! It was out of character for the prodigal son to packed out of his father’s palace to eat and live with swine. I’ll say here that a swine is a type of unbeliever and apostate. By casting out demons into herds of swine (Mark 5:13), Jesus Christ demonstrated that swine is like a dumping ground; something that is dirty and demonic, which the prodigal son shared his meals and lived with!
The bible says in verse 16 that though the prodigal son desired to eat the husks that though the prodigal son desired to eat the husk that the swine ate, yet no one was willing to give him. He packed out from where people were cared for to where swine were cared for with husks! You are not known outside the boundary of destiny. Therefore, if you are outside , return by faith, for the arms of your father is ever ready to receive you back. Verse 17 says, “And when he came to himself…” That was self-realization. He took a decision. This is what all of us must do anytime we see ourselves outside the circumference of God’s plan for our lives. The prodigal son remembered that there was enough bread in his father’s house. So, he said in verse 18, “I will arise and go to my father, and I will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee”. He resolved to go back to his father. You too can take the same step, irrespective of the level of your alienation from your father-Jesus Christ.
