I was driving from Islamabad and after three hours on the road, I felt tired and in need of a rest. I took the route from the Peshawar Motorway to the Hazara Motorway and after covering around 200 km, I needed to find a place to freshen up. Luckily, I came across the Kunhar River, which offered clean and cold water to wash my face and hands. The river's natural beauty also helped me to refresh and remove the effects of sleep after a long drive. The Kunhar River is a 166 km long river located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan and is part of the Indus River watershed basin. It originates from the Dharamsar Lake in the upper Kaghan Valley and is fed by the waters of Dudipat and Saiful Muluk Lakes, as well as glacial water from Malka Parbat and other high peaks in the valley. The river flows through the entire Kaghan valley, enters the Nainsukh Valley from Balakot, and eventually joins the Jhelum River near Muzaffarabad in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan.
