I think you've touched on a pretty touchy subject.
I don't think anyone likes to think about how their life is going every day.
Let alone thinking that they are possibly wasting it.
I definitely think people are desperately looking for ways to not regret their own existence or what it will be like in the future.
They'd rather waste it on parties and work.
For my part, I'll ignore the question because..... Well, I don't see life as very encouraging....
