How do I get in on the crowd sale.

Well.... IDice has a pretty great tutorial, start to finish on how to get in on the action, but there is one part that still confuses me.. please comment if you know how to..
Does one just send the required ether to the provided hash??
OR
Do you have to send the required Ether via the Contracts section in your Ether wallet?
I am confused because in the IDice tutorial on how to invest in the crowd sale, they mention :
"Invest in the future of blockchain gambling by sending Ethereum to our smart contract address: their provided hash "
Note the SMART CONTRACT ADDRESS, , see my confusion?? DO i send it via "send coins" or via " Contracts,
NEXT ISSUE IS
when i try open this hash in my contracts section of my Wallet... it gives an error:
"Please enter valid ABI"
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?? Where can i get this ABI from???
I dont know if im a complete noob, but I am really worried about using the hash in the wrong place and sending my Ether into the ether...
Please shed light on this :'( anyone who knows.
