Hello everyone, thinking about where to focus this week's topic proposed by @talentos, I must admit my mind was torn between several ideas. We could talk about how sometimes we reach for the moon and the stars without stopping, as well as how giving our all can be a path between burnout and continuous effort. While it's a topic where we initially mention the full potential we would have if we used our talent to its fullest extent, the reality is that we can sometimes encounter negative factors, criticism, or even simple obstacles that show us that even in giving, we sometimes have to limit ourselves.
And it's not wrong to give our all for our goals, dreams, and objectives, or to live without fear and throw ourselves headlong into everything. It's true that when we dedicate ourselves to something, we can transform it into a quality that comes to define us. Not only that, but we know it can generate a consistent flow of energy and improve our mood and even our discipline. However, it's also true that control is equally important, since some people give and give, even neglecting themselves (something I mentioned earlier in another post). That's why I have so many different opinions when I think about this topic, because it's something positive for our development as individuals, but it can also have the opposite effect.
It's even part of those grounding lessons we must learn, even in matters of the heart. Some will see this way of giving and doing our absolute best without restraint toward someone we care about as a sign of vulnerability. This is where tolerance and reality are tested, because it reminds me of something we used to say at home: "You have to know someone well to be able to give of yourself to them." This isn't because we're expected to receive something in return, or because it's obligatory; on the contrary, giving our all shouldn't be a requirement to get something in return. The point is that the people around us will also be part of that action, offering a helping hand and a word of caution when necessary.
So, is it wrong to do our absolute best? It won't do any harm, but we must exercise restraint and be aware of the consequences of our actions, not because of what others might say, not out of fear of any action that might affect us, or fear of what might be unleashed, but simply because we are being cautious. Being cautious won't take away our lives, or at least allow us to live without fear; it will ensure we do things right. And yes, perhaps instead of a proactive approach I might have veered towards a slightly more cautious one, or even taken the effects into account, but you could say I got used to seeing an option several times, even if it's a proactive one, sometimes it doesn't hurt to consider analyzing it properly, so, well, without further ado and hoping you enjoy this little perspective, thank you very much for reading.
