Hello everyone, I think one thing is certain: no matter what content we consume online, once we define a specific point, it's difficult to find anything that significantly surpasses that choice. We'll usually be subconsciously searching for something that evokes a strong or similar emotion, so we can maintain that intensity. As many of you know, some time ago I shared my opinion about a Peruvian digital channel with a YouTube platform called No Somos TV(link), which featured a variety of programs combined with humor. Recently, I believe they've started a new show that will undoubtedly stir our emotions, so today I'll share my thoughts on this new format called "Antes de Partir" (Before Leaving).
Hola a todos, creo que si algo es cierto es el hecho de que no importa el contenido que consumamos en internet; una vez definimos algún punto en concreto, se nos será difícil toparnos con algo que supere por mucho esa elección y normalmente estaremos buscando de manera inconsciente algo que nos cause una emoción fuerte o igual, a modo de que mantengamos esa intensidad de emociones. Y como muchos sabrán, hace algún tiempo les di mi opinión acerca de un canal digital peruano con su plataforma en YouTube llamado No Somos TV (link), que tenía una estructura de variedad de programas fusionados con humor y que recientemente, creo desde mi punto de vista, han comenzado uno que sin duda es para movernos las emociones a todos, por lo que hoy les daré mi opinión acerca de este nuevo formato llamado "Antes de Partir".
This is a format that suggests it is mentioned for the first time in one of the Speaking Huevada (link )programs through Jorge Luna, who is one of the hosts and comedians of this and in turn one of the owners of this No Somos TV channel, in which he proposes doing a singing contest similar to the one they already had, which was "Talent Concert", where the members did not know how to sing, but they received classes and the objective was to see the progress and which with 4 seasons had had a good reception. Now, breaking the concept and that in this case the participants were older adults over 75 years old with some exceptions and that they demonstrated their great talent, even those who had had the dream of singing could fulfill it, urging the public to send videos of their grandparents and relatives in order to move on to what was the organization in order of the respective auditions.
Este es un formato que sugiere llega a ser mencionado por primera vez en uno de los programas de Hablando (link) Huevadas por medio de Jorge Luna, el cual es uno de los conductores y comediantes de este y a su vez uno de los propietarios de este canal de No Somos TV, en el que plantea hacer un concurso de canto similar al que ya tenían, que era "Concierto Talento", donde los integrantes no sabían cantar, pero recibían clases y el objetivo era ver el progreso y que con 4 temporadas había tenido buena recepción. Ahora, rompiendo el concepto y que en este caso los participantes fueran adultos mayores a partir de 75 años con algunas excepciones y que estos demostraran su gran talento, incluso aquellos que hubieran tenido el sueño de cantar pudieran cumplirlo, instando al público a enviar videos de sus abuelos y familiares para así pasar a lo que era la organización por orden de las respectivas audiciones.
Therefore, after the initial buzz and positive reception, they announced that the first episode of the auditions was underway and would begin airing. And honestly, what can I say? With over a million views, this first episode brought us a mix of emotions, quite different from what we might have expected. Watching the various seniors demonstrate the power of their voices and how emotions are conveyed was undoubtedly a rollercoaster of feelings, as there are no genre restrictions. We went from tears to dancing, especially with the performance of a senior who sang techno and really got the whole stage moving. There was also a humor that, at times, seemed designed to unsettle the participants.
Por ende, luego del auge y receptividad de este tiempo, después anunciaron que ya estaba en marcha y comenzaría la emisión del primer episodio de las audiciones y, la verdad, ¿qué puedo decir? Con más de un millón de visualizaciones, este primer capítulo nos trajo emociones encontradas, esto muy diferente a lo que tal vez esperábamos. En este ver a los diversos abuelitos demostrar el poder de las voces y cómo se transmiten las emociones, fue sin duda una ruleta rusa de sentimientos, ya que no hay restricción de géneros y, por ende, pudimos pasar del llanto al baile con la presentación de un abuelito que cantó techno y es que movió todo el escenario, así como un humor que en momentos se veía buscaba hacer perder los nervios a los participantes.
Currently, there have already been four broadcasts of this program, even in what are the auditions, and although the dynamic itself is about ten seats so that the participants are competing through battles until, once selected, the galas begin, in itself there is no competitiveness in this format, that is, it does not feel at all that it is a contest because of the kindness with which they treat each other, and that mix of charisma and support in each grandparent, even the stories that they tell, which is undoubtedly something positive and that, beyond seeing it on TV, seeing who are the best, we can enjoy it even with our family roles, because I feel that in each episode we have seen that even the jury themselves are moved and cry, just as in the last one they make it clear to us that it does not matter if they already had or have a previous career in music; They can still show up and give it their all.
Actualmente, ya llevan cuatro emisiones de este programa, aún en lo que son las audiciones, y si bien en sí la dinámica se trata de diez sillas para que se estén disputando los participantes a través de batallas hasta que, una vez seleccionados, comiencen las galas, en sí no se ve una competitividad en este formato, es decir, no se siente del todo que sea un concurso por la amabilidad con la que se tratan, y esa mezcla de carisma y apoyo en cada abuelito, incluso las historias que estos cuentan, cosa que sin duda es algo positivo y que, más allá de que lo veamos en la TV, ver quiénes son los mejores, podemos disfrutarlo incluso con nuestros roles familiares, pues siento yo que en cada episodio hemos visto que incluso el mismo jurado se conmueve y llora, así como en el último nos dejan claro que no importa si ya tenían o tienen una carrera previa en la música; igual pueden presentarse y darlo todo.
Personally, I feel completely hooked and want to watch the whole program because it reminds me of my grandmother and how she loves to sing her boleros. It's like that feeling of knowing that many of those grandparents are there because of their grandchildren's enthusiasm, and that's a positive thing that will probably encourage more programs like this. Personalmente, siento que estoy muy enganchada y quiero llegar a ver todo este programa, porque me recuerda a mi abuela y cómo le gusta cantar sus boleros, por lo que es como esa sensación de saber que muchos de esos abuelitos están allí por la motivación de sus nietos y eso es algo positivo y que posiblemente impulse a tener más programas así, por lo que, bueno, sin más que decir, espero sea de su agrado y gracias por leer.
