Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
God will judge sinners at the coming of Christ
We must always give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing, and the love of each and every one of you abounds with others;
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure chastening.
This is a demonstration of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be accounted worthy of the kingdom of God, by which also you are suffering.
Because it is right in the sight of God to repay with tribulation you atribulan,
And to you who are troubled, give you rest with us, when the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power,
in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ;
who shall suffer punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power,
when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you has been believed).
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God is worthy of his calling, and meets all purpose of goodness and the work of faith with power,
so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
