What a lovely and powerful piece. Thank you for sharing all this.
as if humanity has been standing at the edge of the river longing to jump in.
Indeed, waiting and yet never quite ready for that first shock of cold water against our skin. We resist what we pray for when it arrives when it is big enough to truly transform our world. Ego doesn't want its certainty taken from it, even if it is only certainty of something far from optimal.
There are those that will reach the unsteady shore and built the same rafts again, only to fall back into the swirling water. There are those that will go back to their homes and lock the doors and rebuild the world they thought they loved the best, only to realise the water is lapping at the front steps again.
What can I add to that except a great big YES. It is so, and the very thing I'm trying not to have happen in my life or those closest to me. Trying to help others and myself find our way to a better shore than the one we left is the challenge. And we must face that challenge in the midst of our own personal journey through this.
Thanks so much for this post.
