I'm saddened and concerned about the pandemic sweeping the world, and the loss of lives, anxiety, and economic collapse acceleration it brings. But let's be real: We introverts were made for this time.

Can't go hang out with more than 10 people at a time?

Sounds good.

Don't leave your house unless it's absolutely necessary?

Yep.

Prioritize meaningful discussion, because shit is real?

Way easier than the BS that passes for small talk, which we suck at anyway.

Build community online and feel that those relationships are just as real as those offline?

Gotcha.

I could go on and on like this. Bottom line, other than spending less time with my family in the other 2 households within 10 minute drive of me and no longer attending a weekly dance class, my life hasn't really changed since the social distancing order went out. In fact, I don't mind that when I do have to go grocery shopping there are so few people there or on the roads to there.

I do hope that things improve for the poor extroverts, who will be losing their minds by the time this all works itself out and they can go back to drawing their energy off in-person interaction with others. I know that feeds them just as solitude feeds me.

Our Time To Lead Has Come

But think of how much introverts are going to get their time to shine during the work-from-home era!

Finally you will not be penalized for not being as socially adept at 3pm on a Wednesday, having already exhausted all the energy you stored up over the previous weekend of solitude. You will be at your best even Friday afternoon!

Your brilliant ideas will be listened to, instead of people wondering why you aren't making eye contact while you speak!

Introverts, your time has come. Rise! Rise! Rise and take your proper place as deep thinkers who take time to formulate a thought worthy of being shared. Your insight is needed now more than ever, and everyone is listening, if only because they have nowhere else to be.

HIVE Perfect Timing

As for this new blockchain, what perfect timing! There are a number of extroverts I intend to bring in who will be willing to focus on building community here in a way I could not interest them over the last 2 years I was on STEEM. I think they actually have lucked into perfect timing, being able to skip that foundationally corrupted system all together and start on a community blockchain.

I have already been talking to individual community leaders and meet with a handful of pretty impressive women on Sunday (by Zoom of course). One coaches NFL players. Another does full moon ceremonies. Another is building her own blockchain on ETH (solidity coder), etc. I don't know how many will come over to HIVE, but I am confident at least one or two will.

I'm excited to see what comes, and happy to be an introvert helping the extroverts find their way in our new world.
