Hi, guys!
I keep trying to systematize my approach to writing a book, though I haven’t been very successful so far. On the bright side, I’ve managed to get back into daily reading; this morning, I finished a book I’d been reading for the past three days. It’s been a long time since I’ve slammed a book shut with such frustration—I really thought I’d exercised my right to demand a "heart-wrenching" (angsty) ending, but the author took me completely by surprise at the end. The downside is that the third volume hasn’t been released yet, so I have no way of knowing what actually happened to the character. Still, for some reason, I’m convinced the author won’t actually kill him off, and that I’ll see him again in the third volume—or at least, I really hope so! I’ll be waiting for the third book with great anticipation, hoping that the character is actually okay, as I grew quite fond of him. I genuinely enjoyed the book, and tomorrow I’ll be filming a video review—a promise I made to the publisher a while ago. So, I have quite a bit of work ahead of me tomorrow, but for today, I plan to rest a little to prepare for a demanding week ahead.
I’ve continued using a feature I discovered in Google Translate—dictating my posts—and it’s turned out to be incredibly convenient. It saves me so much time, and it’s also much easier for me to express my thoughts this way; I just let my ideas flow naturally as I compose my posts, which is great. I’m also planning to incorporate exercise into my schedule—or at least, I’m going to try to do so this week. Thanks to an increase in the dosage of my psychiatric medication, I’ve started waking up several hours earlier, which means I can now make it to morning yoga classes. The first one is tomorrow; we’ll see if I can actually get up and go—I really hope so! That said, I’m at the very beginning of my cycle—it might even start tomorrow—so we’ll see if it actually works out. I might not be feeling my best, so if I can’t make it tomorrow, I’ll cut myself some slack and try again on Thursday or Saturday instead. We’ll see how it goes in practice!
Right now, I’m waiting for my husband to wake up because he promised we’d go for a little drive and grab some coffee. I’m actually really looking forward to it—plus, I need to stop by the post office to pick up a few packages. I ordered some jewelry that looks just like pieces worn by characters in the world of the book I’m currently writing. I love having tangible items from the worlds I create; I think it’s wonderful—in fact, I want to collect as many of these things as I can! This time, I ordered a ring and a shark—a shark that belongs to one of the female characters in my book. Both of these items are actually artifacts from my story, and they’re supposed to possess magical powers. Obviously, I don’t believe in such things in real life, but they’re incredibly beautiful, and I’ll be happy to have them. Tomorrow, I also need to film some reviews for various toys; I’ve already received quite a few, so I need to get started on that right away. I have a lot of work lined up for tomorrow, which means I won’t have much time left to work on the book—but even so, I’ve set a rule for myself: I must work on it every single day, even if just a little bit, to ensure the project keeps moving forward.
So, one way or another, I’ll be working on it tomorrow—even if just a little bit, for 15 or 30 minutes—to make sure I dedicate some time to writing my book, with the goal of finishing the first volume by the end of this year. Today, I spent some time drafting a few new scenes that weren’t in the book before. It’s fascinating to see how closely the plot threads from the prequel are intertwining with what I’m writing for the main book. I’m so glad I created so many sketches for the prequel and for the various spin-offs branching off from the main storyline; they’re providing a wealth of detail for the main book—details that otherwise wouldn’t have made it in. It turned out to be a brilliant decision to start by drafting so much material; it really works wonders for the plot. Anyway, I’m going to wrap things up now—time to go check if my husband is awake yet. Wishing everyone a fantastic day, as always!
