Hi, guys!
This week I still plan to show one of my recent work, I have almost finished the portrait of our master of the dungeon. In order to make a promo portfolio, I asked my friends to give me photographs from which I could paint portraits, and they gladly did it. Now I draw them in the order in which they sent me their photos, and the first was Andrey, with whom I have been playing DnD every Friday for almost three years.
Yesterday I technically finished the portrait completely, but the problem is that it received a rather cold welcome. More precisely, they didn’t tell me anything at all. It was very, very disappointing. I asked the model to make edits, and today I plan to correct the face a little, and then post it on my blog on Instagram. After all, I did it for free, could you at least say thank you?
OK, I'm used to the fact that people rarely appreciate free work. I definitely said thank you and wrote how pleased I am with those artists who just made my portraits for personal practice. And then pvot so, not a word. It is extremely disappointing.
But I will most likely show the portrait tomorrow, and today I want to share with you a song that I think I was able to sing pretty well. This is the song of the "Melnitsa" group, called "The Goddess Ishtar".
Approximate translation of the lyrics:
From arrows and from spells,
From nests and holes,
Goddess Ishtar,
Keep my tent
Brothers, sisters.
The ores of my var,
The enmity of my vat,
Goddess Ishtar,
Keep my quiver.
Khan took me!
So that he does not live, who is old,
So that he does not live, who is sick,
Goddess Ishtar,
Keep my fire
The flame is up!
So that he does not live, who is old,
So that he does not live, who is angry,
Goddess Ishtar,
Keep my cauldron
Resin glow!
So that he does not live, who is old,
So that he does not live, who is young!
Goddess Ishtar,
Strive my herd
In the distant moons!
See you in the next post!
Love, Inber
