I think I’ve earned at least one day off today—especially since the book club meeting I was supposed to lead was suddenly cancelled, effectively freeing up my workday. So, I’m going to dedicate the day to creating another video about the book and doing some editing; I’ve been struggling to edit a specific scene—one I promised my beta readers ages ago—for a whole week now. It turned out to be absolutely massive, so it’s going to take a lot more time and effort before it’s actually ready.
But that’s fine—it’s not even clear yet if it’ll make the final cut of the book. Still, I need these scenes myself to understand what’s happening with the characters. Maybe I’ll just post them separately on Patreon later—who knows? Especially if the series becomes a huge hit. It’s a great idea, after all. My canon is incredibly expansive, so anything is possible.
I actually really like that idea. There’s so much I want to write about my world that might not necessarily end up in the book itself. Yet, it’s material I need as an author to understand the world, and it might eventually interest readers as bonus content. So, nothing gets thrown away; I’m keeping it all.
I’m gathering stories and building up a big repository of world-building material. I’ll let the world grow and breathe while I watch that growth unfold.
