This time last year we were lucky enough to take a family holiday in Hawaii just before the pandemic took hold. Oh, how things have changed!
Ryan and I spent a week on the Big Island before meeting up with my family on O'ahu for a week of family fun.

While on the Big Island we spent time in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory, and various waterfalls and beaches.
Our favourite place that we stayed was our tiny cabin in Volcanoes NP. It was surrounded by eucalypts and reminded me so much of home.

When on O'ahu with my family we spent time diving with manta rays and sharks, snorkelling with dolphins and turtles, and swimming at as many beaches as possible. We spent as much time in the water as we could. We also payed a visit to Pearl Harbour.
Our last full day as a family was spent at Kualoa Ranch. This place is extremely underrated. It was one of our favourite days spent as a family. The ranch is the filming location for many popular movies including Jurassic Park and King Kong and you get to explore it all via ATV. I'd highly recommend it.

We will definitely be going back to the Hawaiian Islands again some day, maybe to explore some of the other islands next time.
