About 3 weeks ago Ryan and I packed up our lives in Vancouver and moved into our van full time! We had spent 3 years planning this trip. It has been an adjustment to say the least, especially with temperatures starting to drop below zero now. And the whole pandemic situation has changed our plans significantly, but so far we have been having non-stop fun and adventure. There has barely been a day to just sit and relax.

The first 10 days of our new life were spent exploring and hiking around Canmore and Kananaskis Country in Alberta.

There was a lot of hiking, including Sarrail Ridge, pictured below. It was by far one of the more challenging hikes I have done! Definitely not for those with a fear of heights. Parts of it were so steep and gravely that ropes were needed to help with the climb. Getting to the summit was a relief! and the views from the top were spectacular!

While we were in Canmore we spent most nights enjoying the nice weather in the park with a BBQ dinner. One night we were joined by couple of sub-adult elk. They kept their distance and we kept ours, but it was something special.

Since then we have been spending a bit of time in Dinosaur country! (aka the Canadian Badlands). This is just the beginning of our adventures and we already have about a million photos to edit, and a lot more adventures planned. Watch this space! Dinosaurs coming soon!
