Good for you and the family. There was a lot of poison and venom in our family growing up. And our problems were always Cadillac ones. It made no sense.

I'm lucky at least that my pops and I have come to terms with things. No knowing how much longer he'll be around. Mom was always going to be the loving one, though she had her moments too. Now my sisters struggle in their own lives. We see things differently and have had words.

My oldest sis has a husband who has had a lot of struggles with self love. It affects the whole fam. My drinking hurt the fam and I didn't see it back then. So...many... decisions.
