Tell me if this description of the upcoming social blockchain project, Revolution Populi, doesn't sound familiar.
Being built with Chainlink as their Oracle, this new project aims to launch a social media network that rewards users by way of smart contracts.
Revolution Populi plans to have an ecosystem of dApps built by independent developers that run in conjunction with the main social site.
Finally, they want to provide a marketplace and advertising space for businesses.
That sure sounds familiar to me. I wonder how Rob Rosenthal (ex VP of Goldman Sachs) and David Gelernter came up with the idea?
The individuals behind the upcoming social blockchain have powerful backgrounds. Rosenthal was with Goldman Sachs for twenty years, but this is perhaps even more interesting.
Back in the 90's, Rosenthal was the front man and lead force driving The Ruffians. A New York City punk band.
He sounds like a finance expert I could get along with!
Professor of Computer Science at Yale, Gelernter has quite the history of his own. He's the vision behind Revolution Populi and labeled Chief Visionary Officer. Rosenthal is the CEO.
I held back there on using the word assault, though that term may also be appropriate. And Revolution Populi does have a thesis.

They also published a manifesto on Medium.

Browsing through their pre-launch website, however, I didn't come across a White Paper. It will likely come closer to blast off.
I honestly have no idea. This is the first I've caught wind of it and haven't yet had time to read the Thesis or Manifesto.
They may be attacking the centralized information stealing social media big dawgs, but who can blame them.
One thing is noteable:
Go big or go home is what we say round here! I subscribed to their email newsletters and followed them on Twitter. If any new developments come up, I'll try to post those here.
Are you following the development of Revolution Populi? If so, what are your thoughts?
Thanks for your time and as always....
