Flowers in our back patio abound as Spring gives way to Summer. Here's a nice collection after a bit of research to figure out what these species are.

I left the succulent ID for next time, or feel free to educate me in the comments if you happen to know. Either way, I shall add the knowledge to my memory banks somehow.

While the topic is fresh, I'll share those succulents first. For each flower there are two images. The close up and the image of the full plant.

Here's the one from the feature image.

See how tiny those flowers are in the tips of the Succulents' extensions?

Next is a soft cactus that only looks dangerous to the touch. You'd never know it from the flower close ups.

This cactus species has thrown out branches that are now beginning to flower. It might not need the water but it sure seems to be responding well to it.

This last colorful succulent is nothing but an arm growing out with sections of pedals along the way. One section is budding a flower instead of a pedal!

There it is! Way in the back in the pic above. Some other larger succulents are taking a flower shape in front.

Bloom & Decay - Lily & Honeysuckle

On the back wall of the patio we have three plants. The lime tree didn't make it as all its flowers are now fruit. My best ID on the other two are a Mexican Honeysuckle and a Lily of the Nile.

I'm close to certain about the Lily but as much with the honeysuckle. It could also be a Cape Honeysuckle or perhaps I'm wrong altogether?

Whatever species it is with the orange flowers sure attracts the butterflies and hummingbirds!!

Zooming out shows a fuller look at both plants and offers more info to anyone interested in aiding with ID.

Those are all the wonderful flowers nature has to offer in our back patio......at least they are for today!

Happy Hiveing!!
