How the Steemit Mobile Apps Will Take Steemit Mainstream
Bluntly speaking, mobile has taken the world by storm, and a mobile application experience is necessary for any digital product in existence today. A mobile application will just enhance digital experience for users and it'll make it that much easier for them to stay engaged with the product. So when Steemit releases its mobile apps for Android and iOS, things will just elevate to a whole new level. According to Steemit Inc, they are coming soon and they will be beautiful. Will they be out before SteemFest? I certainly hope so... You can follow 
As I don't know the exact features that will be included in the mobile apps, I cannot say exactly how the user experience will improve, but I can foresee the major changes and the benefits that they will bring to Steemit and to Steem as a whole.

Right now, more and more people are opting to use their mobile devices to interact with the internet instead of using the traditional desktop computers. having a mobile app available on all major mobile platforms will make it that much easier for people to use steemit at scale and it'll also make it easier for new users to first of all even give steemit a chance and to stay committed to using the app and interacting in the community.
There are a lot of places in the world where internet access is not as advanced as it is in developed countries, and so a mobile app will do well to cater for those users who don't have a fast internet connection. This is because a mobile app can be configured to use and require less data or bandwidth. It can even have a lite mode as an optional feature that people can enable when they are using a slow internet connection. All these possibilities will only mean that more users we'll start using Steemit.

As convenient as it is to use a mobile app, we can expect to see a whole lot more people spending time on Steemit. Getting back on Steemit will just be a tap on the screen away, and users can stay connected through notifications that alert them about what's happening in their communities even when they're not using the Steemit app. I think notifications are a very efficient way to keep people connected to Steemit and we should see a lot more people spend more time on Steemit, adding value to the economy, increasing the network effect of the Steem platform, and building communities with great content.

Picking up from the point above that says more time will be spent on Steemit, as people spend more time on the platform: the levels of interaction across-the-board will drastically increase. There will be more posts, more votes, more comments and ultimately more value distributed to everyone participating in the ecosystem. The attention economy will start to blossom and as more attention is paid to the platform by users, more people with vested interests in utilizing the attention come to the platform and buy into Steem or rent Steem to get a piece of that attention.

Whenever there is a demand for attention, and a supply for it, price is discovered. The price of STEEM is going to be affected by mobile apps and the effects that they entail.

All of this adds up to the creation of a full circular economy in which people come to the platform to share content, read content, connect with their communities, get the attention of the people that matter to their goals, transfer value between communities and people, and send money peer-to-peer. The system will be going round and round, with STEEM at the center of it all, fueling all the various activities, and the value of STEEM will appreciate more and more and more as time passes.
