This is my photo submission for the 151st round of the Photo Feed contest, themed Wildlife Photography:
The leaf mantis is very unique. Its body is slender and long. The photo I submitted is of a leaf mantis baby. Honestly, I'm not sure what species this is, but after searching for information in several articles, I found it to be very similar to the American Grass Mantis. But whatever the species, grasshoppers are still a group of insects in the Order Orthoptera, Suborder Caelifera, with many species belonging to the family Acrididae.
