It's been a good day. It's been raining all day and there were not enough customers today at the nursery because it was raining and the second thing is it's the Raksha Bandhan.
Raksha Bandhan is an Indian festival where people, where women tie a kind of band into the hands of their brothers. And it's a very popular festival here in India and so people were out buying Raksha Bandhan rakhis and sweets and all things for this festival.
I went to one of the sweet shops and I bought two boxes of gajar, not gajar ka halwa, two boxes of kaddu ka halwa. I couldn't find the gajar ka halwa that I bought yesterday.
So I took them to my sister's home. We had that and I spent some quality time with my niece and nephews. I haven't been to their house in a week or more than a week I think. I've been busy with the nursery and the weather is not so predictable so I wasn't able to spend time at their home.
I spent the evening at my sister's home and it was really good catching up with everyone and I just feel really good spending time with my niece and nephews, talking to them, sharing with them about the nursery and listening to their cute, cute questions and all that laughter makes me very happy. They are one of the few joys of my life.
I had some negotiations going on with someone, and those negotiations failed.
I was to buy some stuff from one of the business owners, and I couldn't crack the deal. My quote was a little bit lower than what they were expecting, so they slightly rejected my offer.
I'm trying to learn as much as possible about bargaining and negotiations, and it's not easy. It's always a rollercoaster ride talking to people and trying to crack their psychological barriers so that I can gain some benefit out of the conversation and the business deal.
I have seen people and read about people who are really good at negotiations, but I seem to not that good, and hopefully I'll learn something eventually.
We know a book that I can read and learn the art of negotiations.

One good thing that has happened to me recently is that I managed to buy some stock from a nursery that was shutting down and I am really happy about that deal.
I am also trying to crack another deal and hopefully that will work out well for me.
