1. Using a mask and gloves when adjacent to poultry, including the place of maintenance.
2. The distance between the place of maintenance of poultry and settlement, at least 25 meters.
3. Wash your hands, or better take a shower, after being close to or holding poultry.
4. Don't touch directly dead poultry, dirt or innards
5. When buying chicken meat, try without viscera and the wings. When cooking chicken or eggs, it should be ensured that the heat of the fire reaches more than 70C.
6. Wash your hands and furniture after cooking food from poultry.
7. Avoid people or poultry indicated by bird flu. Contact your local health office if you suspect someone or poultry has died of bird flu.
Until now, a vaccine to prevent bird flu in humans has not been widely available. Reportedly, the United States government has a bird flu vaccine, but even then it cannot prevent all types of virus strains.
Prevention by paying attention to self and environmental sanitation, is still the best way to prevent us from contracting bird flu.
