For the past 28 years, the Town Hall Squares (Rathausplatz) has belonged to the popular Klassik Film Festival in summer, which has also made a name for itself as the largest cultural and culinary festival in Europe. For 65 days, fans and friends of music can enjoy art and culture of the highest quality in the open air and in front of a fantastic backdrop. With this low-threshold and at the same time high-quality offer, the city of Vienna enables all people to participate in the cultural life - the Viennese as well as the guests from home and abroad.
An offer that is enthusiastically accepted: The Film Festival counts more than 900,000 visitors year after year and the trend is rising. Since its inception, around 14 million guests from all over the world have visited the unique open-air event and enjoyed first-class music and top international cuisine. With around 42% share of guests from abroad and the provinces, it is clear that this event has become one of Vienna's figureheads worldwide.
