Today’s topic of learning English and Japanese is light. 今日のトピックは、光です。
夜中にも関わらず、街中にはたくさんの灯りがついています。高層ビルでは、ほぼ全てのフロアで電気が付いています。低層の建物でも、電気が付いている部屋が多いです。さらに、夜間でも車の流れが止まることはありません。24時間のコンビニでも、道路沿いの自動販売機でも煌々と光っています。青や赤色など様々な色の光もあります。灯りを見ると何だか落ち着く一方で、こんなに光を使い続けていいのかとも思います。
Even though it's night, there are a lot of lights in cities. For high-rise buildings, lights are turned on at night in almost floors. Even in low-rise buildings, it’s turned on in most of floors. Automobile traffic is not interrupted even at night. 24-hour convenience stores and roadside vending machines give off lights. There is a variety of lights, such as blue and red. I feel calm when I look at light, but I also wonder if we continually use such a lot of lights.
