Having started off late in the April of 2013, Litecoin has been around for a little under 5 years in the crypto-markets - which makes it one of the oldest and the most trusted names in the cryptocurrency circles.
The currency has been very popular and very stable - but the last few months aren’t really what Litecoin was initially known for. The stability seems to have been thrown out of the window, but regardless of that, Litecoin’s popularity in the markets is unparalleled. The 5th largest cryptocurrency by market cap, Litecoin was poised for a great 2018 with LitePay and Litecoin Cash fork coming up. However, LitePay shut down a few weeks after the grand debut and Litecoin Cash Fork fizzled out as well.
