En el lugar más frío del planeta, están tres hombres en lo que parece ser un carro modificado con oruga, quién sabe cómo llegaron y como trajeron eso pero están acá, con una sonda, unas computadoras y más equipo, uno de ellos se encuentra nada más escuchando la frecuencia de abajo del hielo, tratando de encontrar algo y los demás como muy aburridos se echan un chiste, el más perverso y asqueroso de la vida pero se ríen, degenerados definitivamente.

La señal y el sonido se vuelven más fuertes y se detienen para verificar y cuando se alegran por haber encontrado algo en el hielo se parte debajo de ellos, se abre una grieta enorme por donde caen hasta quedar atascados pero más o menos seguros de que no caerán al vacío, al encender todas las luces del auto lo que se encuentra abajo es una nave gigante, escondida bajo todo el hielo.

Pasamos directamente a una mujer llamada Kate que está investigando las cavidades de un animal momificado y es interrumpido por Adam, su conocido que le tenía una propuesta pero la propuesta no es en sí de él sino de su jefe, el doctor Anderson que busca un paleontólogo ya que su buen colega de Oslo tiene una expedición en la Antártida y hace 48 horas encontraron cosas maravillosas; Kate no acepta de inmediato pero al revelarle que encontraron una estructura y un espécimen no se aguanta y acepta de una vez.

En el vuelo en helicóptero hasta allá, habla un poco con el copiloto de vuelo el cual le pregunta cómo van los Cavaliers porque no consigue periódicos cercanos de fecha, ella no le sabe pero bueno, el copiloto solo quería sacarle plática algo que sí le dijo es que necesitaban hacer todo lo que tendrían que hacer en menos de dos días porque la tormenta que viene es horrible, así que si no lo hacen quedarán encerrados.

Al llegar son llevados por el equipo de una vez hasta una cueva donde se encuentra el descubrimiento y la otra parte del equipo, al entrar y bajar escaleras para tapar las fisuras, se encuentran con el equipo que les muestra el lugar, es una nave gigante en una cabina de hielo, todo el hielo se formó como un domo o una capa muy por encima, les explican que posiblemente tenga ahí unos 100 mil años y que la encontraron mediante un sonido que creen se activó cuando el sobreviviente salió de la nave; al llevarlos a ver el sobreviviente es en la superficie donde encuentra a escasos centímetros de la superficie que se encuentra está criatura enorme encerrada en el hielo.

Al día siguiente sacan un pedazo de hielo enorme y lo llevan a un espacio que tienen en el control y trazan líneas para picar más hielo y transportarlo mejor pero antes de eso Anderson quiere una muestra de tejido aunque Kate quiere impedirlo ya que no es seguro, el igual lo hace y a escondidas reprende a Kate porque no vino a pensar sino a sacar esa cosa del hielo, un idiota por completo.

Después de extraer la muestra y hacer todo lo que Kate no quería, guardan todo y celebran el hallazgo y la extracción todo un éxito, pero mientras hacen eso el hielo comienza a derretirse muy muy rápido, el piloto del helicóptero se encuentra orinando mientras la fiesta seguía cuando le da curiosidad el bloque hielo enorme y va a verlo, lo examina pero es asustado por uno del equipo que le dice que no debería estar ahí pero que genial es, no?

No hay mucho chance, ni tiempo cuando se están yendo y el bloque de hielo es destruido por la cosa que estaba adentro y sale por el techo destruyéndolo entero.

After extracting the sample and doing everything Kate didn't want to do, they save everything and celebrate the find and the extraction all a success, but while they do that the ice starts to melt very very fast, the helicopter pilot is peeing while the party was going on when he gets curious about the huge ice block and goes to see it, he examines it but is scared by one of the team that tells him he shouldn't be there but how cool is it, isn't it?

Not much chance, not much time when they are leaving and the ice block is destroyed by the thing that was inside and comes out through the roof destroying the whole thing.
