Nuestro protagonista est谩 arrivando al aeropuerto internacional de los angeles, caminando por el mismo se tropieza con un hombre y lo dos dejan caer su malet铆n y de miran misteriosamente; el hombre le dice a nuestro protagonista que disfrute los angeles y se marcha, d谩ndole aparentemente un folleto.
Aqu铆 pasamos a otro hombre que es conductor de taxi de los angeles llamado Max, arregla su carro, su licencia y sale para llevar a una pareja que discute horrible dentro del carro por quien sabe qui茅n porque parece incomprensible la discusi贸n, aunque ella se lanza una frase final que tiene potencial.
Ya al dejarlos y limpiar su auto se encuentra con una mujer que al tlfn se monta y le dice a donde ir谩, se hace de noche y ella le dice que cruce por una calle que ser谩 m谩s r谩pido aunque el ch贸fer agarra otra calle porque para el es m谩s r谩pido y se dicen sus razones, discuten un poco m谩s de que lugar es m谩s rapido y apuestan; evidentemente Max gano la apuesta pero le dice que no importa, que el ya lo sabia, hablan un poco sobre ellos y nos enteramos que realmente Max es una especie de remodelador de limosinas y es taxi de medio tiempo mientras que ella es abogada y se toma su tiempo para explicarle que le encanta lo que hace aunque si trabajo realmente es un estr茅s constante que no cesa, esto a Max le parte el coraz贸n y le entrega su foto de la islas Maldivas que el ve durante 5 minutos para relajarse y sentir armon铆a, ella a duras penas lo acepta porque la foto parec铆a muy importante para 茅l pero igual lo hace y le regala una tarjeta de presentaci贸n para que alg煤n d铆a la llam茅.
Mientras ella va entrando al edificio va bajando nuestro protagonista que se encuentra afuera con el taxista y le pide que lo lleve a un sitio, en el camino platican sobre ellos mismos aparte de charlar sobre los angeles, la ciudad de la desconexi贸n; terminan de llegar en tiempo record y le pide al taxista que no se vaya porque est谩 ah铆 por real state y tiene que hacer muchas m谩s formas en otros lugares, el taxista se niega porque es contra las reglas pero es convencido por la paga que le dar谩, ser铆an unos seis cientos d贸lares y cien m谩s si lo lleva a tiempo al aeropuerto. Le deja 300 y se baja del taxi para que lo espere en el callej贸n.
Max se pone c贸modo, bastante pero es interrumpido por el cuerpo de un hombre que cae directamente sobre su auto, en p谩nico total no sabe que hacer y llega el hombre que dej贸 en el edificio muy calmado y Max se da cuenta de eso. El protagonista le dice que se quede quieto y lo meta en la maleta ya mismo y que conduzca, Max super loco le dice que no lo har谩 pero es amanezado con un arma para que haga todo lo que diga.
Ahora Max es un reh茅n de nuestro protagonista que quien sabe que pasar谩 con el hombre de la maleta y el mismo.

Our protagonist is arriving at Los Angeles International Airport, walking through the airport he bumps into a man and they both drop their briefcases and look at each other mysteriously; the man tells our protagonist to enjoy himself and leaves, apparently giving him a brochure.
Here we move on to another man who is a cab driver for Los Angeles named Max, he fixes his car, his license and leaves to take a couple who are arguing horribly inside the car for who knows who because the argument seems incomprehensible, although she throws in a final sentence that has potential.
After leaving them and cleaning his car he meets a woman who gets in the car and tells him where he will go, it gets dark and she tells him to cross a street that will be faster, although the driver takes another street because for him it is faster and they tell each other their reasons, they argue some more about which place is faster and they bet; Evidently Max won the bet but he tells her that it doesn't matter, that he already knew, they talk a bit about them and we find out that Max is actually a limo remodeler and a part time cab driver while she is a lawyer and she takes her time to explain that she loves what she does even though her job is really a constant stress that goes on and on, This breaks Max's heart and he gives her his picture of the Maldives which he looks at for 5 minutes to relax and feel harmony, she hardly accepts it because the picture seemed very important to him but he does it anyway and gives her a business card so that someday he will call her.
While she goes into the building our protagonist gets out and meets the cab driver outside and asks him to take him to a place, on the way they talk about themselves besides chatting about Los Angeles, the city of disconnection; they finish arriving in record time and he asks the cab driver not to leave because he is there for real state and has to do many more forms in other places, the cab driver refuses because it is against the rules but is convinced by the payment he will give him, it would be about six hundred dollars and a hundred more if he takes him to the airport on time. He leaves him 300 and gets out of the cab to wait for him in the alley.
Max makes himself comfortable, quite a bit but is interrupted by a man's body falling directly on his car, in total panic he doesn't know what to do and the man he left in the building arrives very calm and Max realizes that. The protagonist tells him to stay still and put him in the suitcase right now and drive, Max super mad tells him he won't but is dawned with a gun to do whatever he says.
Now Max is a hostage of our protagonist who knows what will happen to the man with the suitcase and himself.
