Today is World’s suicide prevention day, a day where we have to understand that suicide is a big mess in the world and we need to collectively kick against it. Suicide have become a virus spreading as we can see on news or read about it, it is simply people taking their own lives. There have been so many suicide notes stating reasons why these people have to but we need to create an awareness that people do not need to take their lives to solve the pending problems.

As we can see, suicide creates more problem, it may not be for the victim but the family members, friends and loved ones around. Yes, we know things are bad including the economy. People are falling into debts, stress, and/or depression daily but many are kicking out because they are determined to live and fight. A living dog will be always be better than a dead lion so forget those suicidal thoughts and hop on to live. There is always a way to get the best out of your situation which suicide isn’t one of the options.

As an individual, you can prevent yourself from suicide in so many ways. We know mostly, the road to suicide starts from depression. When depressed, it is best to find a way out because the thoughts at this moment may harm you forever. Look around you and talk to people that can be of help. There are online counsellors with professional certificates on the wall you can talk. There are health practitioners with degrees you can’t express your thoughts to.

We shouldn’t leave it all to individuals, our collective effort can actually help prevent suicide. Take a look around you and reach out to people. Send gifts or money to your struggling friends if possible. We all have different demons we are fighting and our endurance levels are way different, this is why we need each other to fight this common demon wiping out our youths and loved ones. Let us create awareness on our social media platform to kick against depression and suicide. Just as you deserve to live, they also deserve to live. Thank you.
