Your words have the power to build or to destroy, what a great instrument.
When you use your words well, you receive good results and blessing but when misused, you receive consequences and curse.
Last week, I told a friend that I needed a new phone, he asked what is wrong with your phone, I said nothing but is old and I need a new one, he laughed over it and told me, you will have a new phone and I was how will it happen so I keep thinking about it,I wanted to have the new phone my way so instead of praying about it, and keeping hope alive. I started telling other friends that my phone has spoiled that I needed a new phone. I went to work and when I returned, I was still using the phone I have declared spoiled.
I used it to watch movies, charging it, NEPA took light and I was what! A while later, they brought back the light and I was happy. I plug in my charger and the phone was not charging again. I became confused because I just charged it and it was charging perfectly well, so what happened, I was so angry about it, I turned my charger upside down, tried all I could to charge the phone, yet it was not charging. I used the remaining battery to still inform my friends that my phone has finally spoiled. While I was getting boiling with anger, something redirected my mind back to the day's words and action of mine. I was shocked. I started crying, I told God am sorry and then I pleaded and confessed it openly and I said I still believe in miracle. I was so sacred because I couldn't believe it will work out. Words are really so powerful. The next day after I returned from bible study, I said again, I still believe in miracle, I plugged in the charger again in my phone and behold it was charging, I was so shocked.
Words are so powerful beloved, mind the way you use it. I learnt my lesson, I refuse to think negative and I refuse to destroy me with my words. Use your words wisely.
Don't misuse your words. Instead of destroying yourself with it, build you with it. Your words is powerful.
