There is a spirit behind praise. That spirit came upon David and he started praising God, not minding whether he was naked. We were admonished in Hebrew 13:15 to offer a sacrifice of praise continually to God.
Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.
Expressing ourselves in worship to God via the fruit of our lips is a sacrifice that God required from the believer. It is something you have to be doing continuously as a habit, hence the need to train yourself and get yourself accustomed in the art of worshipping God with the whole of your being.
God enjoys our praises, even the non-living things even praise God by default.
Psalms 95:1-7 (Amplified Bible)
O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation!
2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!
3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
4 In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights and strength of the hills are His also.
5 The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and supplication].
7 For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice,
Praise do not have one style or pattern. You can praise God by making a joyful noise into the Lord, lifting up your hands, praise Him with dance. Image Him who had the valleys, hills, and the sea in His hand and can maneuver them like a child holding a toy.
The last verse of the book of Psalms concludes by saying: Psalms 150:6
Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
Tell God how great He is right now. Pray for the spirit of praise and for the grace to worship God without reservation like the Psalmist did.
Praise is what you live for.
