“Never put off till tomorrow what may be done day after tomorrow just as well.” - Mark Twain
Procrastination is not a good habit to inculcate, its a spirit on its own that draws someone back from executing an activity or work.
Procrastination is something we often face in our day to day activities, sometimes it might be as a result of being lazy or being busy with other things, but in as much there is a postponement, it's a procastination.
I was once a victim of procastination throughout my tetiary school, I would never do things at the best time in as much there's a deadline for it.
During my university days, anything registration that requires queueing wasn't my thing, there's this registration for new intake we did during my 100L days, we were much and anytime we were called to do it, there will always be a long queue, this has always been a discouragement to me which I stopped for a while and with the hope to continue before the deadline. This went on and one for almost two months before I thought of going there before the deadline, after that there will be a penalty for late registration.
I went there and discovered the same thing, there was a long queue which I can't even wait on, I had to leave as I was prepared for the penalty. A year passed, two years, three years till my I.T (industrial training) year, when I finally did it, while others were on I.T, I rushed to school within a week to sort all registration necessary from 100 level till that moment, even though I was penalized by paying extra fee, I had to pay cos I know have been lazy and procastinating earlier what am supposed to do at the right time.
I have learnt my lesson in the hard way, and since never joke with I always do things at the right time. I have learnt and discipline myself on how to overcome procrastination which has been really helpful. I give myself a target by timing myself so as execute the right thing at the right time.
