Welcome to Lithuania, Part 4, Curonian Spit

Hello community,

I would like to continue my story about unique creation of nature - Curonian Spit -
narrow 98 km. peninsula ( widest part 3800 m. and the most narrow is only 400 m.)
located in two countries - 56 km. belong to Lithuania, other part to Russia.

Today I would like to you a beauty of it and introduce the biggest resort ( in Lithuanian part) located on it.
It is original small city located on a coast of Curonian Lagoon called Nida.

It is really very cozy and beautiful place which attract about 200 000 - 300 000 tourists
every summer and about 700 000 tourists during whole year ( from Europe and especially from Germany).
Architecture of city has its own original style, and at the same time resort is very modern,
there are a lot of high quality accommodations, places where you will get delicious food
or just spend nice time with a glass of wine with music in live.

There is very beautiful bicycle path -
you may cycle by it along the whole Spit.
Nida's resort is quite calm, so it feet to people who are searching quiet active rest.
But at the same time, you could have very active vacation, because of a lot different activities.
There is yacht club there - so you may rent a yacht or you may have a trip on a ship
or a smaller boat by Curonian Lagoon or even to the other coast and see all its beauty from a water.

To whom, who like to fish - there is great possibilities to have interesting fishing,
and there are some trips which include fishing and even you may cook fish soup or bake a fish on a camp fire.

The air is really fantastic, because of Baltic sea from one side, and forest from the other. There are not any factories or manufacturing on the whole area. The place half-wild, half-adapted only for tourists.

On a summer or autumn time you may even go to the forest collect mushrooms or berries.

And of course, you could just walk by the sea coast and search Lithuanian gold - Amber.
