I think I have to give up travelling

I left Delta for Lagos yesterday and the journey, although not as crazy as the journey from Osun to Delta was annoying in its own way.

Like I said in this post, Sapele's ATMs are always crowded. I initially made a joke about how it was likely that all the inhabitants of Sapele had an agreement to meet at the ATMs every morning but I have changed my view when it seemed that the machines were always crowded all day (Maybe it is the festivities). We left the hotel to get some cash before 7am but we didn't return till past ten. as a return of the crowd at the machines.

When we were finally able to clean up and have breakfast, it was almost noon. @ehiboss and @mimy had an assignment to carry out in Warri and they left. @gbenga and I were headed for Lagos, while @samzee was returning to Ife. We went to the park only for us to hear that we couldn't get buses to convey us to our destination. We visited another park and the story was the same.

We had to take a cab to Benin and the traffic congestion we encountered was immense. When we finally got to a park in Benin, @samzee was able to find a vehicle to convey him to Ife. However, @gbenga and I had to visit a different park where we finally got a bus to Lagos.

After travelling for some hours, while encountering congestions, we arrived at Ore, where vehicles usually stopped to enable their occupants some time to stretch their legs and get meals. A Food Union restaurant was located here and @gbenga and I entered to buy some snacks and drinks. This turned out to be a huge mistake on our part as the snacks tasted bland and we threw them away. We had to buy some Suya at a kiosk by the roadside. I almost forgot to mention that we met @samzee here. The bus he had entered had also stopped over and he bought some snacks (I am yet to know how they tasted to him).

When we all gathered back at the bus, it was discovered that one of the tyres wasn't in a good condition and that had to be changed. After this was done, we continued with our journey.

We encountered more traffic congestion along the way and eventually arrived at Lagos at some minutes to nine. @gbenga and I departed here and each person departed for their respective destinations. I have to admit that the journey was an hectic one but I still managed to compose a poem, although for some strange reasons, I slept off before I could post it.
