I definitely don't know why they bother making new versions of old movies, very few deliver, most are a disappointment, I'm not saying all, but the ones I've seen lately don't meet my expectations.

This weekend I decided to watch this movie, especially because of the characters. I don't remember having seen the first version, but I'm almost 100% sure that it was better than this one.
Beetlejuice came out in 1988, where we saw a family tormented by a ghost, a young woman haunted by this character, if she mentions his name three times he appears; after three generations we see this new version with the same family, but in this part the daughter of that young woman finds herself trapped in the world of the dead, hence a new story to show, and to unearth this being by saying his name: Beetlejuice...Beetlejuice...Beetlejuice
Created and directed by Tim Burton, we know that most of his films have that touch of mystery, suspense and terror, and for fans of this type of films, they always expect something new and exciting to see from this director.
For this new version of Beetlejuice, well, it's not the perfect story, where we'll see all this, it's mostly comical, if you can call it that, I think that's part of why I decided to watch it, it's not a typical horror story, but the characters attract with their things.
The story is entertaining, it's acceptable to spend some time, but it has no humor, or suspense, much less terror, I really don't know how to rate it.
Here we can say that the film had good characters, starting with Winona Rider and Catherine O'hara, followed by Jenna Ortega, these three women fulfilled their role, here we noticed the difference of the new generation, one after the other.
Of course we cannot forget the main character, played by Michael Keaton, although I felt that he lacked more presence in this story, being the character that characterizes the film.
The film lasts an hour and a half, thank goodness, because stretching it out would have been unnecessary, everything was concise.
The ending did seem a bit boring to me, there was a part that was unnecessary, but well, that's my humble opinion, I'll leave it to you, if you dare to watch it.
I definitely do not recommend it 100%, it's not a story worth watching again.

Este finde me anim茅 a ver est谩 pel铆cula, sobre todo por los personajes, no recuerdo haber visto la primera versi贸n, pero estoy casi 100% segura, que fue mejor que est谩.
Beetlejuice sali贸 en el a帽o 1988, d贸nde vimos a una familia atormentada por un fantasma, una joven acechada por este personaje, si menciona su nombre tres veces el aparece; luego de tres generaciones vemos est谩 nueva versi贸n con la misma familia, pero en esta parte la hija de aquella joven se ve atrapada en el mundo de los muertos, de aqu铆 una nueva historia que mostrar, y desenterrar a este ser pronunciando su nombre: Beetlejuice...Beetlejuice...Beetlejuice
Creada y dirigida por Tim Burton, bien sabemos que la mayor铆a de sus pel铆culas tienen ese toque de misterio, suspenso y terror, y para los fans de este tipo de films, siempre esperan algo nuevo y emocionante que ver, por parte de este director.
Para esta nueva versi贸n, de Beetlejuice, bueno no es la historia perfecta, d贸nde veremos todo esto, es m谩s que todo c贸mico, si se le puede decir as铆,creo que por eso en parte me anime a verla, no es una t铆pica historia de terror, pero los personajes atraen con sus cosas.
La historia es entretenida, para pasar un rato es aceptable, pero no tiene nada de humor, o suspenso, ni mucho menos terror, la verdad no sabr铆a c贸mo calificarla.
Aqu铆 podemos decir que la pel铆cula cont贸 con buenos personajes, empezando por Winona Rider y Catherine O'hara, seguidamente de Jenna Ortega, est谩s tres mujeres cumplieron con su rol, aqui se noto la diferencia de la nueva generaci贸n, de una tras otra.
Por supuesto no podemos olvidar el personaje principal, interpretado por Michael Keaton, aunque sent铆 que le falt贸 m谩s presencia en esta historia, siendo el personaje que caracteriza el film.
La pel铆cula tiene una duraci贸n de hora y media, menos mal, porque alargarlo, hubiera sido dem谩s, todo fue conciso.
El final si me pareci贸 demasiado aburrido, hubo una parte que estuvo dem谩s, pero bueno est谩 es mi humilde opini贸n, se los dejo a ustedes, si se animan a verla.
Definitivamente No lo recomiendo al 100%, no es una historia que valga la pena volver a ver.
