Autumnal bookmark [ENG/ESP]

My creative friends, it’s a pleasure to share with you once again! For the past few days, I’ve been wanting to draw something—taking advantage of the fact that it’s October, the month of Halloween—so I decided to create these lovely bookmarks with an autumnal theme. Come along and see how I made them!

Materials I used:

• A piece of white cardstock
• Fine-tip black marker
• Scissors
• Glue
• Ruler
• Various colored pencils/markers

Mis amigos creativos un gusto compartir con ustedes nuevamente, desde hace unos días quería dibujar algo, aprovechando este mes de octubre, mes de halloween, por eso se me ocurrió crear estos lindos marca libros con este estilo otoñal, acompañenme a ver cómo lo hice.

Materiales que use:

• Trozo de cartulina blanca
• Marcador negro punta fina
• Tijera
• Pega
• Regla
• Colores varios.

For this design, I found a piece of white cardstock I had lying around, and from it, I cut out these two rectangular shapes, each measuring 15×5 cm.

Para este diseño busque un trozo de cartulina blanca que tenía por allí, y con una medida de 15×5cm, recorte y saque estás dos formas rectangulares.

I looked for some inspiration on Pinterest and started drawing a spring-themed page, incorporating some hand-lettering. You know how much I enjoy practicing and writing using this beautiful art form; I like to sketch it out in pencil first, before adding color.

Ahora busque un poco de inspiración en Pinterest, y comencé a dibujar, una hoja primaveral, con unas letras estilo lettering, saben que me gusta practicar y escribir con este hermoso arte, me gusta primero tratarlo en lápiz, para después darle color.

Using the black marker, I begin adding depth to my lettering, as well as to the rest of the drawing.

Ya con el Marcador negro, empiezo a darle profundidad a mis letras, así cómo el resto del dibujo.

I wanted to create two designs: I’ll leave this one simple, with its autumn leaves, and now I’ll make another one with a Halloween touch—featuring a cute little ghost.

Quise hacer dos diseños, dejar este así sencillo, con sus hojas de otoño, y ahora haré uno con el toque de halloween, con un lindo fantasmita.

I added some color to this one as well; here, I made greater use of the black marker, incorporating additional details to accompany our ghost.

A este también le di un poco de color, aquí use más el marcador negro, añadiendo otros detalles que acompañen a nuestro fantasma.

And so, here’s how our bookmarks turned out—what do you think? Simple, but pretty, right? 🤪

Considering it’s handmade, it turned out quite well! I enjoy practicing and challenging myself to draw a bit—it’s been a long time since I last did so. It’s always an entertaining and relaxing activity, and this is definitely a great idea for book lovers—you can customize it with any theme you like!

Para hacerlo hecho a mano no está mal, me gusta practicar y atreverme a dibujar un poco, hace mucho que no lo hago y bueno siempre digo que es entretenido y relajante, sin duda está es una gran idea que podemos hacer para los amantes de la lectura, con la temática que gusten.
