Due to thesis and college life, I usually wake up around 6 or 7 am often even before the alarm rings. Even though the university is a short walk from home, I prefer taking public jeepney to avoid looking tired ( not that I don't already look tired HAHAHA). Plus, when I bring my laptop , taking public transportation is more convenient.
That day, I arrived at the university around 9 in the morning, and when I reached the entrance gate, the security guard asked me what I was doing there during the semestral break. I explained that we still needed to fulfill our final requirements for the first semester. He let me in and wished me good luck.
I waited in our usual spot in the lobby along with my other classmates for our final examination in the Franchising class that morning.
The agreed scheduled time for our exam was supposedly at 10 a.m. but our professor who is always late, arrived an hour later. So, we finished the exam at around 12 noon. Now, with that behind us, our sole task remains to finish our thesis.
After enjoying our lunch meals in the room, we continued with the revisions of our thesis while waiting for any updates about the panel members' whereabouts. Waiting for the professor's arrival and available time can be quite time and energy-consuming.
When we received an update that a professor was present that day, we immediately headed to the faculty office to have them check our paper and hear their comments and suggestions for further revisions and secure their signatures.
This is where we wait for thesis checks and signatures, just outside our professors' office.
We ordered four sets of buy-one-get-one burgers, and one group member chose an egg sandwich.

We had our burgers in the room and continued thesis work. There are few revisions, especially since one professor requested more details for our study's output. We have to comply because if we don't, we can't get her approval signature. Complete signatures of the entire panel are required in order to proceed to hard-binding.
We realized it was around 4 p.m., which is the usual time our statistician is present in his office at the other building, so we prepared ourselves and headed to the Science and Technology building where his office is located.

Although the climb upstairs was quite exhausting, given that his office is situated on the 5th floor, this is the view we were greeted with once we reached the top.
Our statistician is really accommodating, so the signing of paper was just quick. We are forever grateful for our statistician; he played a crucial role in our thesis journey. He believed in us and even praised our study to the panel during our oral defense weeks ago. Soon, we plan to express our gratitude by giving him a token of appreciation.
Anyway, we returned to our room to continue editing and proofreading our paper. We extended our stay in the university to further refine our work.

We were the only ones left on the floor, and it was already 8 p.m. when we decided to head home and continue our thesis work there. Because my co-members live far from the university ,and the traffic during Sinulog week is challenging, we each went to our homes. Since mine was nearby, I opted for a night walk because there were no available jeepneys at that time. And, everybody got home safely.
Being a college student is undeniably stressful, especially in the final year. Early mornings and extended evenings at the university have become the norm. Back in high school, I never really thought about it, but now I realize I might have taken my sleep for granted.
Although we've been busy with our thesis, our wallets are empty, and we've experienced sleepless nights, I still believe that everything will come to fruition. We're almost there! This is our last stretch as students before proceeding with our on-the-job training. Together, we will survive and thrive!
